The Santa Clara County Public Health Department, Tobacco Prevention & Education Program (TPEP) has a very diverse and talented staff. TPEP staff concentrate efforts in tobacco control by coordinating adult (Tobacco Free Coalition of Santa Clara County) and youth (Community Advocate Teens of Today) coalitions, monitor compliance and enforcement of tobacco control policies, educate and encourage policymakers to adopt a tobacco retail license, encourage smoke-free multi-unit housing complexes, and provide and tobacco related technical assistance.
